Nigel Glaze, born in Birmingham, UK in 1965, embarked on his artistic journey with a
distinction at North Warwickshire College then going on to study at the Falmouth School
of Art, from 1982 to 1985, where he earned a first class B.A. hons degree . Following this,
He pursued Art Psychotherapy at St Albans School of Art, completing his M.A. degree.
Nigel’s artistic practice has developed whilst as a psychotherapist, using art in working
and communicating with people’s emotional conditions, an aspect noted in his artwork.
Over the years, Nigel’s artistic endeavours have taken him to numerous exhibitions
across the United Kingdom. Notably, he has had work displayed in the national portrait
gallery and has been short-listed with the prestigious Mall Galleries. He is a
member of The Royal Cambrian Academy.
During lockdown he participated in the widely acclaimed Oriel Lockdown exhibition. Nigel
has also held both group and solo shows in various locations throughout regions of
Wales, being represented at Crickhowell gallery. He was given talks with the Anglesey art
group. Opened his studio with Helfa Gelf and delivered various workshops on drawing
and painting.
During the summer of 2025 Nigel was proudly part of the Sky Arts Landscape Artist Of the Year competition in St James Park London and won the heat becoming a semi-finalaist.
Nigel Glaze’s artistic contributions have not only been recognized through exhibitions but
also through the acquisition of his works by various private collectors across the UK.
